The Polyend Synth is a multi-engine polyphonic synthesizer that allows users to operate up to three different synth engines simultaneously. This unique feature enables musicians to play multiple sounds at once, leveraging built-in sequencers or live note entry. The Synth supports eight different synthesis engines, customizable effects, and multiple sequencing options, all of which can be saved as a Scene for instant recall.
Multi-Engine Functionality
The Polyend Synth provides access to eight distinct synthesis engines, each offering a unique approach to sound generation. Users can choose from:
VAP: Dual-oscillator virtual analog polysynth inspired by synthesizers like the Prophet and OB-8.
PHZ: Modern phase distortion engine with new algorithms, designed for recreating classic phase distortion tones or experimenting with more complex sounds.
ACD: Inspired by vintage monophonic analog synths like the SH-101 and TB-303, but this modern recreation also sounds great with polyphony.
FAT: A 3-oscillator virtual analog synth engine with detune control and vintage-style ladder filters.
PMD: A physical modeling synth that allows for realistic instrument simulations and experimental tones.
GRAIN: Granular synth engine with two modes—Burst and Cloud—designed for rhythmic textures or large, evolving pads.
WAVS: Wavetable synth that morphs between two wavetables, providing phase warping for intricate tonal shifts.
WTFM: A 2-operator FM (Frequency Modulation) synth engine featuring wavetable-based oscillators enhanced by a triple feedback system.
Each engine comes with professionally crafted presets, offering a starting point for users.
Simultaneous Control of Three Synth Engines
The Polyend Synth is designed to handle three engines at once, making it far more than a typical multi-timbral synthesizer. Each loaded synth engine can be independently customized with its own effects, parameters, and sequences, all of which can be saved within a single Scene. This capability allows users to layer multiple sounds, split zones, or create complex arrangements with ease.
Sequencers and Arpeggiators
Each synth engine in the Polyend Synth can be assigned its own 64-step sequencer or arpeggiator. These sequencers offer extensive customization options, including swing, groove, octave range, and gate length. Additionally, sequences can be transposed and automatically adapt to the chosen scale.

Smart Grid and Scale Lock
The Synth introduces Polyend’s Smart Grid technology, which enables features like single-button chords and note followers that automatically stay in tune with the chosen scale.
Polyphonic Aftertouch
The Synth’s pads are pressure-sensitive and support polyphonic aftertouch, meaning they respond to the pressure applied to each pad individually. This feature allows users to control up to five parameters per synth engine through pressure sensitivity.
Customizable Effects
Polyend Synth includes three effect engines—Modulation, Delay, and Reverb—that can be routed independently for each synth engine. The effects offer a range of unique modes:
MOD(Modulation): A modulation effect that can function as a chorus, phaser, or flanger, with options for slow or rapid modulation.
DEL(Delay): A double delay engine with five models, allowing for tempo-synchronized or independently controlled delay lines.
REV(Reverb): A reverb engine with three modes: Natural for creating the effect of realistic environments, Plate for more metallic reverberations, and Warp for creating big ambient spaces and abstract, experimental reverb tails.
These effects are fully customizable and can be saved within Scenes for immediate recall.
Scenes and Preset Management
Scenes are a powerful feature of the Polyend Synth, allowing users to save an entire setup, including synth engines, effects, sequencer settings, and more. With Scenes, musicians can quickly switch between different configurations during live performances or organize sound sets for different projects. Scenes can also be shared with the Synth community, making it easy to collaborate or exchange presets with other users.
Connectivity
The Polyend Synth includes several connectivity options:
Outputs: Stereo Line/Headphones Out for audio output.
MIDI In/Out: Compatible with standard MIDI devices, allowing easy integration into existing setups.
USB-C: Provides power and connectivity, suitable for mobile use or integration with a computer.
Included in the box are essential accessories, such as a USB power adapter, USB-C cable, and adapters for MIDI connectivity, as well as a MicroSD card for saving and transferring patches, samples, and Scenes.
