KORG has finally released the Multi/Poly Native plugin, which was first announced at NAMM 2025. This software version of the popular Multi/Poly hardware synthesizer brings all the original features directly into your DAW. With its powerful analog modeling and extensive modulation options, the Multi/Poly Native aims to combine the charm of vintage synths with the convenience of a modern plugin.
Multi/Poly Native brings up to 60 voices of polyphony and allows layering up to four different programs simultaneously. Each program can use four oscillators, providing a lot of flexibility for creating complex and evolving sounds. These oscillators support a variety of wave types, including classic, digital, and waveshaper options. Multi/Poly Native also includes a noise generator and ring modulation for more sound design possibilities.

One of the features is the dual-modeled filters, inspired by KORG hardware such as the MS-20 and Minimoog. These filters provide a wide range of tonal shaping options, making it possible to craft both vintage and modern sounds with ease. Each program also comes with five LFOs and four loopable DAHDSR envelopes, which can be used for detailed modulation control.
KORG Multi/Poly Native also introduces Kaoss Physics, a feature that allows for controlling sound modulation using a virtual X/Y grid. This system lets you manipulate parameters in real-time by adjusting factors like gravity, friction, and tilt.
In addition to Kaoss Physics, the plugin includes Motion Sequencing 2.0, which enables per-voice parameter animation. This function allows users to step-sequence different modulation sources, destinations, and intensities, making it possible to build complex sequences. The interface is designed to be easy to use, with all modulation options displayed clearly.
The plugin also comes with a wide range of effects. Each layer can have three studio-quality effects, in addition to a master reverb and parametric EQ. With over 5,500 modulation destinations available, the Multi/Poly Native offers a level of control that is rarely seen in software synthesizers.
KORG has also ensured that Multi/Poly Native works smoothly with its hardware version. Now we can create patches in the plugin and transfer them directly to the hardware version, or the other way around.
