BOSS has introduced the GX-10, a highly capable amp modeler and multi-effects processor that packs all the processing power of the popular GX-100. This compact unit delivers the same sonic experience as its larger sibling into a smaller, more portable design.
High-Quality Sound in a Compact Package
At the heart of the GX-10 is AIRD technology (Augmented Impulse Response Dynamics), which provides authentic tube amplifier tone and response. The unit features 23 guitar amp models and 9 bass amp models, including modern high-gain options like X-Ultra, X-Optima, and X-Titan. Players can explore 170 effects, including overdrives, distortions, mod effects, delays, and reverbs, along with dedicated bass effects and BOSS classics such as Slow Gear, Octave, and Slicer.
Fast Sound Creation with Touch Screen
The GX-10 featuring a color touch display and four dynamic parameter knobs. These allow users to quickly create and modify sounds, with the ability to assign up to two amps and 15 effects blocks per memory. Intuitive drag-and-drop functionality simplifies arranging effects in serial or parallel configurations, while the send/return loop enables integration of external pedals.

For advanced editing, BOSS Tone Studio software allows users to fine-tune sounds and load impulse responses (IRs) from their computers. With the optional Bluetooth Audio MIDI Dual Adapter, sounds can also be edited wirelessly from an iOS or Android mobile device.
Flexible Control Options
The GX-10 includes an onboard expression pedal with a toe switch, which can be used for volume control, wah effects, or activating the built-in tuner. Three footswitches can be configured in multiple modes:
Up/Down Mode — Enables sequential scrolling through presets. Basic presets, like clean, crunch rhythm, and lead tones, can be arranged in sequence for live performances, allowing smooth transitions across sounds.
Manual Mode — Reconfigures the footswitches to control up to three user-defined targets, functioning similarly to a pedalboard. This setup can toggle effects on or off, activate solo boosts, or adjust multiple parameters with a single press, providing versatile real-time control.
Bank/Number Mode — Allows for selecting specific presets within banks and unlocks the Current Number function. This feature enables additional parameter control within the active preset, expanding tonal options with quick access to boosts, delay effects, or other assigned parameters.
Recording and Editing
Built-in USB-C audio interface ensures seamless integration with digital audio workstations (DAWs), enabling players to record high-quality tones directly to their computer or mobile device. BOSS Tone Studio allows users to organize patches into Livesets, download sounds from BOSS Tone Exchange, and share custom sounds with the global BOSS community.
Additionally, GX-100 Livesets are fully compatible with the GX-10, making it easy to transfer sounds between devices and expand your tonal library.
