Ableton Live 12.2 is now available in public beta. This free update for all Live 12 users adds new tools, improves existing devices, and makes it easier to organize sounds and tracks. It also includes new features for Push, Move, and Note.

Also check:
A new Bounce to New Track function allows users to quickly turn any MIDI or audio clip into an audio file on a new track. All effects and processing are included. There is also a Bounce Track in Place option that converts an entire track to audio without creating a new one.
Several devices have been updated. Auto Filter has a new look and new features, including additional filter types like Vowel, DJ, and Comb. The modulation section has been improved, and there are new mixing controls. Auto Filter is now also available in Move and Note.
A new device called Expressive Chords is included in Live 12 Intro, Standard, and Suite. It lets users play full chords using a single key or pad. Chords can be customized with MIDI and MPE controls for more variation.
Roar, a saturation and modulation device in Live 12 Suite, now includes a Delay routing mode, a Dispersion filter type, and an external audio and MIDI sidechain. This makes it possible to control the pitch of the feedback in Note mode.

Meld has a new Chord oscillator, which allows users to generate chords from a single MIDI note using four sawtooth waves. The chord shape and inversion can be adjusted or modulated, and everything stays in key with the built-in scale awareness. Meld now also has a Scrambler LFO 1 FX, which permutes four different amplitude ranges of the input modulator.

Spectral Resonator and Resonators now support Live 12’s scale awareness and tuning systems, making it easier to keep everything in tune.
The Browser has been redesigned to help users find and organize content faster. A Quick Tags panel allows tags to be edited and assigned directly in the Browser. The Filter View has been simplified to make hidden features easier to find. Users can also change the look of labels and folders using new icons, and the Browser now displays multiple metadata columns at once.

New Features for Push in Live 12.2
The new Expressive 16 Pitches feature makes it possible to play melodies across multiple octaves using drum and one-shot samples on MPE-enabled pads. Follow Actions are now available on Push, allowing clips and scenes to be sequenced directly from the device.
The Groove Pool and Tuning Systems can now be accessed from Push as well. The Bounce to New Track function works directly from Push, and the External Audio Effect device has been added, allowing to integrate hardware effects.
Live 12.2 is currently in public beta. Anyone with a Live 12 license can join the beta program to test the new features before the final release. More details can be found in the official Ableton beta release notes.
